Doofus:

Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), who is running to return to the Senate from the Granite State, urged hedge fund executives at a Las Vegas conference on Friday to get involved in his bid to unseat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.).
Brown and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) were the sole current or former elected officials speaking at the gathering, hosted by the hedge fund firm SkyBridge Capital. The annual conference brings some of the financial industry's most powerful members to Las Vegas. While it is technically a nonpartisan meeting, the host, Anthony Scaramucci, is a prominent Republican donor.
Brown seemed unconcerned about the optics of appearing at the event, and even encouraged those in attendance to directly plug in to his race. As the AP reports:
[Brown] referred hedge fund executives to his campaign website and urged them to get involved "right now."
"You have a role to play," said Brown, who was paid to speak, "whether it's in the think tanks, whether it's in public policy issues, whether it's drawing a line in the sand and supporting people that you feel will bring forth your agenda and your concerns." - Huffington Post, 5/19/14
That's not the only bad press Brown's getting:

Former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown's half-brother is facing sentencing for impersonating a federal law enforcement officer.
Bruce Brown of Wolcott is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in federal court in Bridgeport. He pleaded guilty in February to impersonating a law enforcement officer and falsifying a military discharge certificate.
Authorities say Brown stopped boaters off the Connecticut coast last year pretending to be a Coast Guard officer. Prosecutors say Brown had in his car a bulletproof/tactical vest with police insignia and a Transportation Security Administration badge, handcuffs and a police tactical baton. - WCVB, 5/18/14
And he's been getting called out for helping block Senator Jeanne Shaheen's (D. NH) energy efficiency bill:
http://www.seacoastonline.com/...
Scott Brown's lobbying efforts to kill the bipartisan Shaheen-Portman energy bill in the U.S. Senate this week proves beyond any doubt that he has no idea what is important to New Hampshire families. The man is calculating and will play politics when it suits his interests, no matter the cost to the N.H. families and businesses.
Indeed, the Shaheen-Portman energy efficiency bill was widely supported here because it would have created jobs and significantly reduced green house gas emissions. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen spent years building a consensus around this bill, reaching across the aisle to garner bipartisan support, and incorporating smart cost-effective reforms. She proved herself to be an advocate for our environment and for our state. Come November let's remember that Scott Brown is in this for Scott Brown, not for New Hampshire. - Seacoast Online, 5/19/14
And what's worst is even the GOP's own polling shows Shaheen crushing Brown:
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/...
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) holds a double-digit lead over former Sen. Scott Brown (R) in a hypothetical matchup, according to a recent poll from Republican pollster Vox Populi, the firm launched earlier this year by Mary Cheney and others.
The poll found Shaheen leading Brown 47 percent to 35 percent among registered voters with 13 percent undecided. Brown, the former Massachusetts senator who's now running for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire, is widely regarded as the likely Republican nominee to face Shaheen.
But in a hypothetical matchup against former Sen. Bob Smith (R), Shaheen's lead is essentially the same. The Vox Populi poll found Shaheen leading Smith 45 percent to 34 percent. - TPM, 5/19/14
Looks like Brown's comeback bid is looking like a bust. But anything can happen between now and November and the Kochs will spend big to beat Shaheen. If you want to donate and get involved with her campaign, you can do so here:
