The sand beach at Nehalem Bay State Park in Oregon reminds of a Japanese Zen garden. The patterns of the sand, formed by waves and wind, often seem calming, timeless, and meditative. There are patterns which incorporate rocks and seashells. The photos below are an attempt at capturing some of the serenity of these sand patterns.
