e.e. cummings once said that "Love is the mystery of mysteries".
Yes, I'm a man who loves a good love story. I didn't even realize it until writing this diary, how many I actually DO love.
There are many realms within this genre. Comedies, dramas, melodramas and tragedies. Even some Horror. From the sweeping epics (Doctor Zhivago), to the most sentimental jerkers-of-tears (Love Story), to the more strange and unsettling (Let the Right One In), to the violent & hilarious (Grosse Pointe Blank), to the sweet and slightly silly (Gregory's Girl), to the oddly erotic (Secretary), to the more heart-wrenchingly tragic and transcendent (FA Murnau's "Sunrise"), to the more realistically rendered (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), to the poetic (La Belle et la Bête) to the cheesy (Dirty Dancing).
Personally, I like a misfit love story best of all. When lonely people who couldn't find love, find it unexpectedly under the strangest of circumstances.

Let the Right One In
Grosse Pointe Blank
Ali: Fear Eats the Soul

In my other favorites, the two main characters don't necessarily even end up together. Sometimes it ends bitter-sweet. Sometimes tragically. Sometimes they transcend romantic love to become soul-mates.

All that Heaven Allows
I also like it when the two can't stand each other at first, but end up together anyway.
