Wanted to pass this along from State Senator Jason Carter's (D. GA) gubernatorial campaign:
I have bad news: Gov. Deal's ethics cover-up is about to cost you another million dollars.
We are already on the hook for $1.15 million after a jury found the state's former top ethics watchdog was forced from her job for investigating the governor's campaign.
Well, now the state is on the verge of settling a second whistleblower lawsuit for another million dollars. The governor may escape another embarrassing public trial, but we're not escaping the bill.
That's two million dollars that could be going to our schools. Just this week, Muscogee County School District announced they are laying off 69 teachers and other school personnel because of budget cuts. I bet those schools could think of a lot better ways to spend $2 million.
We can't let him get away with this.
Please contribute $25 right now to help us get the word out about Gov. Deal's cover-up: http://www.carterforgovernor.com/...
The governor has stockpiled millions for his campaign, and his special interest friends from Washington are already attacking Jason with a million dollars in TV ads and mailers.
We're running a different kind of campaign, and it is built on your support. Please do what you can to help.
Best,
Bryan
