The Saturday Morning Home Repair Blog (SMHRB) is where we gather to discuss the many and varied aspects of home repair. Some here are trained professionals. Some, talented DIYers. All are welcome. Please feel encouraged to ask questions, share successes, lament sags, drips and cracks and, as always, share any advice that you have for the rest of us.
I'm writing this on Thursday morning to have something in the queue. I wanted to show you the new kitchen shelves, but I just found out that an old friend died, and I will be on the road to Boise at 4:00am on Saturday. Lots to do between now and then. So - if you're reading this, I didn't have time to put together a better piece of work.
That being said, have a thought for the family of Mr. James E. Gamblin, would you? He was the patriarch of one of the most cherished and influential families of my childhood. His 5 kids were some of my dearest friends.
Saturday afternoon at 2:00, we will celebrate his life, and then say goodbye.
