Welcome to the tea and fortune parlor. This used to be a feature at Street Prophets, when Street Prophets was a separate website. Think of it as the horoscope column and agony aunt section of your newspaper, all rolled into one. It is also a party tent, and since this is a holiday, why not have a party? I don't know about you, but I had a hard month last month, and I am in the mood to have some fun.
Step into the tent. Inside, it is whatever you want it to be. there is a Samovar on that table as well as plates and plates of cookies. The grill is over there. Who wants to man the grill? Volunteers?
Now that we have the catering handled, let us get down to the business at hand. Ask a question, any question, and I will try to give you a reading. Of course, I will be making it up. But that's okay! It will be fun! The best part is that I will be charging a fee for your reading. The fee will vary depending upon your question. It might be to make someone smile. It might be to take some time for yourself. It might be to give five bucks to your favorite progressive candidate's campaign. Or, to help an elderly neighbor with a chore. I don't know! It all depends on what you ask.
Anyone in the tent make it for reading for anyone else, as long as they charge a suitable fee. Follow my lead. You will get the hang of it!
As always, post your favorite links in the comments below. Tell us about your day. What is for dinner? What are your plans for the holiday weekend? Make yourselves comfortable and let us have some fun.

Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate. Readers may notice that most who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but newcomers should not feel excluded. We welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
