As we celebrate the 4th of July weekend, let's remember the words and vision of Thomas Jefferson. On Dec 20 1787, about 3 months after the US Constitution had been drafted without a Bill of Rights, Jefferson wrote to Madison from France saying that the omission of a Bill of Rights was the most serious flaw in the new Constitution. He wrote "A Bill of Rights is what people are entitled to against every government on Earth, and what any just government should not refuse."
That's right, every person on Earth is entitled to a Bill of Rights against every government. The International Bill of Rights that is being circulated carries out the vision of Thomas Jefferson. Please sign at www.internationalbillofrights.org
Happy 4th and long live Jefferson.
