These "People", these so called "American Patriots" really can't stop themselves from betraying the country and it's principles. It's like having Asshole Tourettes. Every few seconds they can't help from blurting it out verbally.
"Sue!" we hear from Boehner and Republican Senators.
"Impeach!" - Screams ole' Tundra-Spice herself.
"String 'em Up." they shout at GOP Rallies.
Hell, Impeach, Sue and then String 'Em UP, then Shoot 'em. Do the damn job right.
It's been clear ever since Reverend Wright and their obsession with the allegedly "missing" mysterious "Long Form Birth Certificate", Obama's "College Transcripts", all the way to Benghazi and Bergdalghazi and IRSghazi that these people can't come to grips that Obama, the smart, articulate, charming and occasionally tough minded President - is actually who and what he appears to be. They won't allow themselves to admit it. They keep conjuring this dark, vicious, vindictive, all-powerful and simultaneously hapless and fumbling caricature of a human.
He's a "Devil", he's "Out of Control", he's "Crazed"... all of this is very much in keeping with the centuries long image of the Violent and Dangerous Super-Mandingo.
That dirty mean Nigger you don't want to Fuck Wit.
And there's only one way to handle such a Wild Buck don't cha know?
Lynch Him.
Oh, don't get like that I'm not saying it's all racial or even only racial. They tried to Lynch - er - Impeach, President Clinton for pretty much the same kind of thing. No, not the cigar, they thought he was Corrupt. A "Very Good" Rapist. A drug-running murderer. A Criminal. Obama being Black has only made them more rabid and less restrained, not generated the 50 years (and more) of hateful bile that we now see regularly spewing.
If they get the chance, they won't hesitate to try and do the same thing to Hillary Clinton or any strong Democratic Candidate for President. Those drums have already started beating.
But let's not kid ourselves, that's what this is. A Lynching. And like most historical Lynchings of going back across the Centuries, the accused being actually guilty of the "crimes" is merely a formality.
They say he's violated the Constitution? This coming from the party that cheers and spikes the football when the Supreme Courts invents an entirely new category of Rights for Religious Corporations which allow them the power to deny the equal access and equal treatment rights of Women (and soon Gays, and then whoever they feel like..)
If they thought that a President using his authority to bypass laws was justifcation for lawsuits and impeachment, why exactly didn't they react that when when this happened?
Bush Administration to Waive 30-Plus Laws, Regulations to Build 267 Miles of Border Fence
WASHINGTON – The Bush administration plans to use its authority to bypass more than 30 laws and regulations in an effort to finish building 670 miles of fence along the southwest U.S. border by the end of this year, federal officials said Tuesday.
...
The move would be the biggest use of legal waivers since the administration started building the fence, and it would cover a total of 470 miles along the Southwest border. Previously, the department has used its waiver authority for two portions of fence in Arizona and one portion in San Diego.
In order to extend the already existing border fence, Bush waived laws such as the Environmental Protection Act and Endangered Species Act because - y'know- "Build the dang Fence". Never mind those pesky little LAWS and Regulations that happen to get in the way.
And yet, there was a time when a Republican Governor was set to sue the Bush Administration in order GET a regulation waiver from the EPA so that the State could implement their own laws - because Bush's EPA wouldn't do it in order to appease automakers.
http://www.utsandiego.com/...
SACRAMENTO – U.S. automakers have relentlessly fought California's bid to curb tailpipe emissions that contribute to global warming, even as some of the nation's largest car companies voluntarily make improvements just across the border in Canada and throughout Europe.
Automakers also appear on their way to complying with California's landmark law requiring a gradual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, at least in the early years, state officials contend.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected as early as Wednesday to make good on his promise to sue the Bush administration, accusing the federal Environmental Protection Agency of purposely stalling California's application for a waiver to enforce its greenhouse gas reduction law.
And then there was that one time, at
Bush Camp they the decided to waive all those annoying Securities and Liability Regulations from the Department of Energy that were holding back that one company - what were they called? Oh yeah,
Enron.
Enron Energy Services, Inc., et al. (Enron Energy) submitted for filing a rate schedule under which Enron Energy will engage in wholesale electric power and energy transactions at market-based rates. Enron Energy also requested waiver of various Commission regulations. In particular, Enron Energy requested that the Commission grant blanket approval under 18 CFR Part 34 of all future issuances of securities and assumptions of liability by Enron Energy.
On April 27, 2001, pursuant to delegated authority, the Director, Division of Corporate Applications, Office of Markets, Tariffs and Rates, granted requests for blanket approval under Part 34,
Yeah, and I do wonder how that turned out? Anyone remember?
In addition to attacking the Obama administration for it's progress on Border protection, even though they've been breaking records on their deportation numbers for years, and that $Millions more for supplies and equipment are currently bottled up in Congress, while they loudly complain over the absense of of what's sitting on their desks.
And when it comes to Obama temporarily waiving parts of the Affordable Care Act, such as the Employer Mandate or the end of Non-Grandfathered Plans - items whose implementation the GOP has soundly denounced - they have repeatedly dime-turned and denounced the President's decisions NOT to implement these provisions - for now.
Via the Atlantic.
So has President Obama, in fact, broken the law and abused his constitutional authority by delaying the Affordable Care Act's "employer mandate"? This may be the top Republican talking point right now. But what does the law actually say about this?
...
In Sunday's Washington Post, Bush II Health & Human Services Secretary Michael O. Leavitt concurred that "The [Obama] Administration's decision to delay the employer mandate was wise," in light of the Bush Administration's initially bumpy but ultimately successful phase-in of the 2004 prescription drug benefit to Medicare. Though "wise," is the current postponement "illegal"? On the contrary, Treasury's Mazur wrote to Chair Upton, such temporary postponements of tax reporting and payment requirements are routine, citing numerous examples of such postponements by Republican and Democratic administrations when statutory deadlines proved unworkable.
In fact, applicable judicial precedent places such timing adjustments well within the Executive Branch's lawful discretion. To be sure, the federal Administrative Procedure Act authorizes federal courts to compel agencies to initiate statutorily required actions that have been "unreasonably delayed." But courts have found delays to be unreasonable only in rare cases where, unlike this one, inaction had lasted for several years, and the recalcitrant agency could offer neither a persuasive excuse nor a credible end to its dithering. In deciding whether a given agency delay is reasonable, current law tells courts to consider whether expedited action could adversely affect "higher or competing" agency priorities, and whether other interests could be "prejudiced by the delay."
So whether it's an issue of Executive Orders (
which I covered yesterday) or using their discretion for waiving the implementation of regulations that might have an adverse effect on people and companies - what the Obama ministration has done in these areas are all
Perfectly Normal.
What's not normal is the GOP reaction to it all. They've frankly lots their marbles. Or rather their trying harder and harder to pander and motivate their base, which after years of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh stoking their collective resentment of women, minorities, immigrants, non-Christians and of course DEMOCRATS to the point that it's almost finished melting their synapses it makes sense that they have to keep building the bonfire and madness higher and higher to get the same reaction.
But that's ok. I think it's fine. I think it's a good thing, because the more they continue to let their freaky batshit fly the more the American people get a better and better idea of why America Can't Have any NICE SHIT anymore.
See that giant spike of Blue in the middle of the chart showing the Generic Congressional Ballot? That was what happened just about this time last year when the GOP pulled their big grandstanding move of
Shutting Down the Government in order to DELAY OBAMACARE.
Now they're talking about Suing and maybe Impeaching the President of the United States because - in part - he DELAYED PARTS of Obamacare.
So I think they should just plain Go For It. Go ahead. Make all of our collective Days, not to mention our next Two Years all that much better by repeating what you did last year with this obnoxious bullcrap.
Go on. DO IT!
After you're party has been dancing around shoving a sharp stick into the eyes of Women while celebrating Hobby Lobby, I do think the very next thing to do is Continue to Piss Off Democrats and actually get them Super Angry and Motivated to vote this November and kick you're collective asses out of our hair.
I dare ya. I double dawg dare ya. Sue Him.
