This is just a quick housekeeping note to inform my faithful and demented readers of the following changes to the previously announced schedule:
- July 19th, which was originally supposed to be "Orientalism and Identities," will now be "Today We Are Exploiting the Apocalypse!"
- August 2nd, which was originally supposed to "Raggedy Anne and the Water Babies," may be traded for a utility infielder to be named later delayed until the fall, since I'm planning to head down to New York with Beata to see her sister Bella, take in a couple of museum exhibits, check out her new boyfriend and make sure he's worthy of her etc.
- August 9th, which was originally supposed to be "The Simple Joys of Summertime," will now be a triple review of three books I picked up at PI-Con, including Walter Hunt's terrific steampunk novel Elements of Mind.
- August 16th, which was originally supposed to be "The Fastest Typewriter in the West," will now be "Orientalism and Identities."
- August 32nd, which was not on the original schedule, will be Captain America II: Vibranium Boogaloo a political discussion on the advantages of ceding Bosnia to Herzegovina, Herzegovina to Bosnia, and the healing properties of a nice trip to Lumbago and the Laxative Isles.
Happy summer, everyone!
