I proposed a meetup a couple weeks ago to occur on August 24th in the afternoon, but never got around to the diary or publicity for it until now.  So I'm soliciting feedback.  Please put your comments, thoughts, etc into the responses to the diary and Left Candid and I will see how we can help build COmmunity.

The 24th is still an available date for us.  It can take place at my house in SW Denver (within the city limits, not the 'burbs) and I'll provide some form of BBQ - it would be a nice pot-luck from about 1-4PM, we could meet at another person's host location or we could visit a restaurant again like we did with Annie's last time.  Believe it or not, that was 9 months ago - a whole new citizen could have been created in that time!  The notification period is pretty short, so I don't know how many of you might be able to attend.

We could also put this on a longer planning timeframe - push the date until sometime in September, perhaps.  The Pikes Peak Kossacks are holding a get-together in September and I've been thinking about traveling down for that, because since I can see Pikes Peak from my house, it must be close enough for us to get together on occasion.  We could carpool - I could take three with me.

Or we could have multiple dates - this Sunday the 24th, and then dates in September and maybe October, to discuss election plans.  I'll follow up with people in the diary and through Kosmail about what gets decided at least for the near date.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
