Welcome to Sunday All Day Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I have been doing a fair amount of craft work recently. I got socked with a huge tax bill and am trying to make some money to pay for it. In addition to bringing in income it is also relaxing to create. I have a few things on sale at the moment that I created special. Of course if you see something in the regular areas I can extend the $5.00 off there also. My sales items are here. There are more scarves here. I have more jewelry here. My artwork is for sale here.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

biz. I won't advertise here because I don't "eat where I poop" so to speak; anyway there aren't more than a dozen people in a community like this that would have any interest.

I have to make custom steel tools in order to produce in enough quantity to support myself, once I come up with a work I like and get everything just-so. This morning I'm making several test production units out of different materials that have different impact and appeal that I'll actually sell if any turn out right, or close enough to recover, otherwise recycle them for other occasions of testing if they miss the mark.

    And there's always the fireplace.

Herself will appreciate your jewlry; there's another member of the family who'd appreciate the sock monkeys, but those would never survive till supper time around here.

Is the price of the pink sock money $25 after the discount? I want it but can't get it until September 3rd when my Social Security check arrives. I'm desperately trying to buy all Christmas presents now as I waited too long last year and really messed up. Not enough $$. My 10 year old granddaughter would love it. My dog would too but it wouldn't last 1 hour. :)

    •  What I Did (0+ / 0-)

I have a resale license from North Carolina in case I sell in state.

My other craft work I sell on-line. I have my own website that I got under Go Daddy. I use an older Microsoft program to put the web up. I show my work on Facebook and have friends spread the word.

Since my computer room is where I do my major work I can write that part and the depreciation off on my taxes.

      Hope this helps.

    Museums 101: Paleontology and Dinosaurs

Paleontology is the study of fossils, particularly fossils of life forms prior to the Holocene Epoch. Like archaeology, paleontology often involves excavation—digging in the dirt in remote places—using scientific methods as a guide. However, paleontology differs from archaeology in that it excludes the study of humans. While paleontology, as a science, is concerned with processes such as evolution, the general public usually associates it with dinosaurs.
