"I'm rubber, you're glue. Whatever I say bounces off me and sticks to you".
Conservatives love this children's rhyme which counters an attack of character. Granted conservatives often have the world view of a sheltered child, but they really are good at this game. In fact, it is often the conservative media that volleys in the initial attack of character only to double down on their accusations when they receive a response. Once Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, or Billo attacks somebody's character, it is only minutes before loyal foot-soldier viewers begin spamming the meme all over social media as they mine for rich veins of user reactions.
This Salon article by Eric Boehlert of Media Matters is an excellent synopsis on how conservatives race-bait then squeal and oink that it is Obama and "libruls" doing the race baiting.
Once again, conservatives take the sh*t and then blame the stink on somebody else.
Critics claim Obama has not done enough regarding the situation in Ferguson.
the commentary, completely ignores the corrosive role of the right-wing media in America, how it has spent years trying to silence and intimidate Obama on the topic of race, and how it’s used some of the most offensive, guttural rhetoric and personal attacks to do so.
Consider the content of the Salon article the next time your crazy uncle decides to ruin a family dinner with his pejorative piffle and proclamations that Obama is a "race-baiter-in-chief".
