First, if there was another diarist scheduled, and their WYFP shows up, I'll unpublish this one.  I'm writing this not knowing whether someone else is on the schedule, because the schedule is gone.  The diary that was in the queue that held the intro and the calendar has been deleted.  If someone did that with a plan to replace what is currently going on, I will fall at their feet in gratitude.  If not, then... I'm stumped.

I do know that annieli is up next week, and bluejerseymom is scheduled for September 6th.  But, that's all I know.

I also know that last week got FUBARed and for that, I apologize.  Thanks to billssha for writing the real diary last week.  I never did go back until just now.

Oh, yeah.  This:

WYFP is our community's Saturday evening gathering to talk about our problems, empathize with one another, and share advice, pootie pictures, favorite adult beverages, and anything else that we think might help. Everyone and all sorts of troubles are welcome. May we find peace and healing here. Won't you please share the joy of WYFP by recommending?
Anyway, what do you guys want to do about WYFP?  It really doesn't seem like many folks are all that interested in writing.  I really don't want to babysit the schedule anymore.  When I took this gig, I had Saturday evenings to spare.  Life has changed a lot, and even something that should be easy - having to be here to post the schedule every week - can be something that gets forgotten or over-run with other things.  I would go back to writing real diaries, if someone else wants to take over herding cats.

As it is, I am going to repost a permanent diary in the queue with a calendar of diarists, if there are any, and if no one has any objections.  If no one volunteers, I'm just going to write some diary stubs, "Hi.  This is WYFP.  Spill it." and set them to auto-publish at 5:00 on Saturdays starting on September 13th.

It's time, people.  Let's decide what the future of this decade+ old series is going to be.  I'd love to see it become something fantastic, again, but that depends on all of us.

Please hang a comment on the tip jar if you want to write a diary.

And if you want to take over the scheduling, please allow me a few minutes to arrange for a nice fireworks display and free adult beverages for everyone.

Edited to add Chi, thanks to fiddler crabby.

And does anyone know what actually happened to NurseKelley's placeholder diary?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
