The midterm elections are once again approaching us rapidly and yet we find ourselves scrambling to make sure that the right doesn't have the chance to dismantle everything that President Obama and a Democratic Senate has achieved.
How do we do that you ask? It's simple. VOTE! That isn't asking to much is it? There is a trick to it though. It can't just be you voting. It has to be everyone that you come into contact with every day that is qualified, registered and able to vote.
Where do you find these people? Haha! Look around you. They are everywhere! And guess what? They are just as fed up and angry as you are with what is going on in Washington. They may not have the same ideas about it as you but they should still utilize the one thing in our democratic process that is supposed to make a difference in the country and that is taking their turn in the ballot box.
A lot of people that you probably associate with just don't want to get involved or somehow believe that their "one" vote doesn't make a difference. Tell them emphatically that they are wrong!
It's true that their vote may be just one of many. the difference they are making by casting that vote is their willingness to become engaged in our great democratic process. It allows them to maybe understand and have an opinion and a say in how our country is run. That is what the founding fathers wanted.
There is still time! Encourage your friends and families to get out there and do their duty as an American Citizen and make a difference. Here is a great resource for people that are not registered yet. http://www.rockthevote.com/... Also they can register at their state's department of motor vehicles or state election offices. Here is another great site that gives you all of the information you need. http://www.usa.gov/...
November 4, 2014 is right around the corner. Get out there and vote!
