Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has been spoken of (by some delusional GOP/Tea Baggers) as a potential candidate for 2016. Nonsense, of course, because every time Carson opens his mouth, he demonstrates that however much he may know about surgery, he knows sweet fuck all about anything else. For example, Carson has repeatedly compared the United States to Nazi Germany, a comparison that's as ignorant as it is odious.

He was doing it last Febuary:

(relevant comments began at about 8:00)

And then again, he was doing it at the Interweb Home For Dead Breitbarts:

Following a standing ovation at his address to the standing-room-only crowd, Dr. Ben Carson said that the current state of our government and institutions are "very much like Nazi Germany."
Carson's reasoning?  Certain 'aspects' of America 'intimidate people into silence'.

Like the...erm...'silence' that envelopes Ben Carson...or not.

"And it's because of the PC police, it's because of politicians, it's because of news. It's all of these things are combining to stifle people’s conversation," he said.
Name a single goddamned conversation that's been stifled by America's Nazi-like policies, you incoherent buffoon.

And, like all GOP/Tea Bagger blowhards, the clueless Carson is not backing down...because he is unteachable. In a profile in yesterday's Washington Post:

Carson has been in the news for saying the health-care law is “the worst thing to happen in this nation since slavery,” for seeming to compare same-sex marriage to bestiality, and for saying that “America is very much like Nazi Germany.”

Does he worry that perhaps comparing Obama supporters to Nazi sympathizers may sound like something a bully might do?

“You can’t dance around it,” he says. “If people look at what I said and were not political about it, they’d have to agree. Most people in Germany didn’t agree with what Hitler was doing. . . . Exactly the same thing can happen in this country if we are not willing to stand up for what we believe in.”

Obamacare is the worst thing to happen in America since slavery? Are you fucking kidding me, you dolt? Gay marriage = bestiality, you small-minded, irrational bigot? The US is 'very much like Nazi Germany', you risible putz?

Oh, yeah...this clown is definitely GOP presidential material. Bring it on.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
