Don't panic, friends! But I do need your help!

One of the Kossacks who very much wants to attend our little get-together can't do it with the time set at 6:30 PM!

So can we reschedule it two hours earlier that same day, same place?

Please let me know -- either comment to this Diary or kosmail me!

Thank you!

Just a reminder about the Meetup's location and related details:

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Panera Bread on North Academy Boulevard.

Directions:

NORTHBOUND:

North on North Academy Boulevard to Shrider Road (North of Woodmen Boulevard). Left (West) on Shrider Road to Atlas Walk Way (where Shrider Road ends for car traffic). Right on Atlas Walk Way until it ends. Right at end to parking (the Panera is at this point).

SOUTHBOUND:

South on North Academy Boulevard to Shrider Road. Right (West) on Shrider Road to Atlas Walk Way (where Shrider Road ends for car traffic). Right on Atlas Walk Way until it ends. Right at end to parking (the Panera is at this point).

IMPORTANT NOTES: Panera lists this location as 7344 North Academy Boulevard; switchboard.com and Google Maps (maps.google.com) list it as 7351 Atlas Walk Way. The establishment's telephone number is (719) 522-1100. The location has a back room for meetups like ours, but it is NOT reservable. I don't think this is an issue as there are fewer than 10 members in the Group itself, plus a couple of other Kossacks who have expressed an interest in attending.

This is going to be a very informal sort of get-together; the only "serious business" I anticipate being discussed is how/when/where we schedule future meetups.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

As for me,  my parents dragged me up Pike's Peak once when I was in about sixth grade.

    I got altitude sickness.

I don't even drive if we're going through the Rockies: I have a tendency to pass out at 10,000 feet.

So I stick to sea level or minor altitudes.

Here in Colorado Springs, we're at 6000 feet. Not much higher than downtown Denver. Traveling between the two requires a short-lived ascent to 7200 feet to get over the Palmer Divide at Monument, CO.

I don't know what your exact altitude limitations are, of course. But I myself, a lifelong resident, am now somewhat dependent on oxygen supplementation at the 6000 foot altitude. (Whatever you do, DO. NOT. contract MRSA and then fail to treat it! It's bad for all your innards!)

Bottom line: I sympathize with you -- more than you knew heretofore.

Above all, stay healthy and safe!

. . . but the day (Saturday) and not enough warning. My wife has to work at the library that day (something about being the library director).

Since it seems quite unlikely that there will be a Kossacks group in the Nebraska Panhandle any time soon, we'd be happy to attend in Colorado Springs if you'll have us. (Bit of a drive, have to drive through Last Chance, Colo., and stay overnight somewhere in Colorado Springs. I suppose we could stay at the Air Force's inn with enough warning to make things cheaper.)

    Mmmmm...

Just need to remember to put it in my calendar.

... Time makes no difference to me; it just keeps rollin'....

    •  Truth be told, I don't know. (0+ / 0-)

They serve my favorite drink, coffee.....

But the main thrust of this meeting is planning future ones. So please come. If you do, we'll surely add a venue con cervezas to the schedule......
