The gridlock over policy can be broken in the area of taxes.
State by state we can get rid of sales taxes (did you think I thought we could break the gridlock in Washington?).
This is a win win as this tax is very regressive so progressives want to get rid of it and GOP are against all taxes to they cannot argue to much.
Now, we need to find a revenue replacement.
I recommend a %50 tax on political spending and donations of any kind (including "non-profit" political groups).
Anyone that can afford to support the gridlock politicians can pay for that luxury.
