After the President's lengthy interview on Meet the Press, Senator Cruz went a bit nutty. He can't stand the fact that our POTUS is not only in charge, but is reassuring the people ... that we, the United Staes of America, will be implementing a solid plan for defeating ISIS/ ISIL. Cruz, who thinks he is going to become President in 2016, wrote a somewhat hysterical blurb on his Facebook page. What could possess that man to out and out lie all the time? His feeble minded followers rarely ever do any research on their own to see if the information is correct. They chime in and join Cruz, berating the President using derogatory language that isn't fit for any kind of American conversation. Is that the kind of following Cruz wants? In the meantime, Cruz acts like he is our De facto leader, often repeating exactly what Obama has already proposed and getting in front of every camera and microphone that comes his way. No wonder John McCain calls him a Whacko-Bird!
Point by point, we can clearly see that Senator Cruz is an imbecile who doesn't understand the English language and what is going on in the world around him, or he is just a liar. At any rate, the Tea Party darling should be voted out of office or censured until he can act like an adult.
Ted Cruz:
Today, the President once again failed to propose any serious action against ISIS, telling the American people that we must wait several more days for the revelation of his "game plan". One thing he did indicate, however, is that he would not be requesting Congressional authorization for ongoing military operations in Iraq or Syria. This is unacceptable--if the threat posed by ISIS is not acute--which would be indicated by the President's long deliberation, Congress must play a key role in the debate. But if the threat is imminent we need more urgency and seriousness out of our Commander-in-Chief.
Me:
Considering that Congress is just coming back from a 5 week long vacation, Cruz has no idea if the President will be addressing them. He most likely will.
Meet the Press Transcript and Video:
The day before the thirteenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, President Barack Obama plans to address the nation on the threat posed by ISIS extremists -- telling NBC News the U.S. will “hunt down" the terrorists "wherever they are.”
The president revealed his plans for the upcoming address during a wide-ranging, exclusive interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.

Cruz: "We know the threat of ISIS has been concerning for the intelligence community for more than a year, and has been in the headlines since they made their ferocious assault on northern Iraq in June. Inexplicably, President Obama has not during these weeks and months developed any coherent strategy to counter these terrorists who have declared their intent to attack us and our allies, and have brutally executed two of our citizens while systematically purging ethnic minorities, including Christians, in the region."
The National World:
Nato members ‘prepared to join forces’ against ISIL
NEWPORT, WALES // US president Barack Obama said Nato allies were prepared to join military action to battle Islamist extremists who have overrun large parts of Iraq and Syria, and urged Arab states to engage in the fight.
“There was unanimity over the last two days that ISIL poses a significant threat to Nato members, and there was a recognition that we have to take action,” Mr Obama said at the close of the annual summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
“You can’t contain ISIL … the goal has to be to dismantle them,” he said.

Obama authorizes airstrikes in Iraq to stop genocide
WASHINGTON — President Obama said Thursday that he authorized "targeted airstrikes" if needed to protect U.S. personnel in Iraq, as well as airdrops of food and water to religious minorities in Iraq who are under siege from Islamic militants and trapped on a mountaintop.
"Today, America is coming to help," Obama said.

Cruz:
We do not need another vague speech; we need a strategy. The President did not have one last year, or last week, and he still does not have one now.
We should be using our overwhelming US airpower to dismantle and destroy ISIS.

"First strikes against ISIS began this morning at 10:00 in Iraq."
Washington (CNN) -- U.S. fighter jets and drones repeatedly bombed Sunni Islamic extremists in northern Iraq on Friday, targeting what officials described as ISIS artillery units and convoys advancing on the Kurdish regional capital of Irbil.
The airstrikes ramped up America's involvement in Iraq where ISIS, which calls itself the Islamic State, is seizing control of towns and key infrastructure in an advance that has forced hundreds of thousands to run for their lives.

Cruz: President Obama should make the case to the American people and seek authorization from Congress. Formal congressional authorization is required by the Constitution and would force the President to commit to a clearly defined strategy to protect our national security. And it would unite the Congress in the mission to protect America and eradicate ISIS.
Meet the Press transcript:
“What I'm going to be asking the American people to understand is, number one, this is a serious threat,” Obama said about the speech, which is not expected to be a prime time address. “Number two, we have the capacity to deal with it.”
Obama emphasized he will not advocate for the deployment of U.S. ground troops in the region, saying it would be “a profound mistake” to put American boots on the ground in Syria as some critics have suggested.
“This is not the equivalent of the Iraq war,” he said, stressing that the United States will work with “regional partners” like Iraqi and Kurdish forces and Syrian rebel troops to degrade the terror group’s capacities.
“Over the course of months, we are going to be able to not just blunt the momentum of (ISIS),” he said. “We are going to systematically degrade their capabilities. We're going to shrink the territory that they control. And that's how we're going to defeat them.”
