Larry Hogan is running for Governor here, and disrespect for intellectual property is not far behind.
This time around, a GOPer didn't steal someone's song. They stole from Disney. Ironically, it was to call Democratic candidate Anthony Brown a liar.
According to a Baltimore Sun blog,
The campaign of Republican gubernatorial nominee Larry Hogan has taken down an advertisement that compared Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown to Pinocchio because it included a copyrighted image from the Walt Disney Co. without permission.
... "What do Anthony Brown and Pinocchio have in common? They both lie to get what they want," the text read.

As if there are no graphic artists in Maryland who could use the work, Larry, if you want a Pinocchio? Disney did not invent the story, Larry.
The Hogan HQ responded with, "Oh, oops."
A screen shot of the offending web ad below. Perhaps ironically, it includes Jiminy Cricket, teh "conscience," lecturing ol' P-boy from a vantage point on the elongated schnozz.
