Somethings you just can't make up.

Topeka — Kansans are being encouraged to prepare for an invasion of the living dead, with Gov. Sam Brownback scheduled to sign a proclamation later this week declaring October Zombie Preparedness Month.
The state Division of Emergency Management says if residents are prepared for a zombie attack, they're prepared for anything. Deputy director Angee Morgan says the idea is to make people aware of the need to be ready for emergency situations like natural disasters, catastrophic storms, fires — even a swarm of zombies.
Brownback is slated to sign the proclamation at 11 a.m. Friday in his ceremonial office in the Statehouse.
The ceremony, to be held in Topeka is designed to highlight Kansas move toward.. preparing for a Zombie invasion. While somewhat humorous, what isn't humorous is the most recent jobs report.

Using seasonally adjusted estimates, the state gained 2,400 private sector jobs and 900 total nonfarm jobs over July.
Sam Brownback keeps estimating he'll add 100k jobs in the next four years. At 1,000 a month.. that's going to be hard thing to do.
In speaking with Paul Davis last week, I stupidly forgot to ask any questions about his Zombie-Preparedness strategy. In an attempt to reach out to the Kansas Democratic Party in regards to this issue, I was offered this as a response:
Stop crank calling us.
So, I guess the official approach of the Davis Campaign is that Zombies are, in fact fictional and that there are better things to do with my day.
