Andy Harris isn't letting the grass grow under his feet now that he's not tied up in the halls of Congress.
Nossir.
The doctor who voted lebenty times to repeal Obamacare and/or one or another part of it ... the congressman who couldn't bring himself to vote to support UI for the already-were-working people in his district, MD-01 ... is bustin' butt to make sure that the kiddies learn about jobs: "our future pilots, astronauts, engineers, and mechanics."
Gotta wonder if Andy will be there for more than a photo op.
I am pleased to host an Aerospace Career Day for the students of Maryland's First Congressional District. The event will be held at Easton Airport located at 29137 Newnam Road in Easton, Maryland, on Saturday, October 11th, from 2:00 to 4:30pm. All interested middle school, high school, college students and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
I have invited representatives from the FAA, NASA, and the aerospace industry in Maryland. Students will be able to experience first-hand an air traffic control simulation and will be able to speak with leading experts in the space and aviation industry about potential career paths.
This will be an excellent opportunity for our future pilots, astronauts, engineers, and mechanics to ask questions and learn more about the wonders of flight. If you have any questions or have students who would like to RSVP for the event, please feel free to contact my Bel Air District Office at 410-588-5670.
Sincerely,
Andy Harris M.D.
Member of Congress
