Sen. Kay Hagan
Ah, the good old days for Republicans, when they could screech "death panels" and "government takeover of health care" and scare the bejeezus out of voters. Now that Obamacare is working, and working really well, and the key hasn't fallen the attacks just
don't work anymore.
Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) is showing a surprising resiliency in the polls unmatched by her other red-state colleagues. And just over a month from Election Day, Republicans are increasingly worried that state House Speaker Thom Tillis (R) might blow a prime pick-up opportunity.
"Every time we try to tie her to Obama and ObamaCare and the 24 times she said you could keep your doctor, none of that seems to be sticking very well," North Carolina GOP Chairman Claude Pope admitted to The Hill. "We need to make the issue more about her and Obama and national policy issues and foreign policy issues."
Dammit, why can't we dupe those voters into caring about the things Republicans care about anymore!?!?! All that they're left with is . . . national policy issues, and, and stuff that Obama's done.
Nothing better reflects the total bankruptcy of the Republican party when it comes to policy solutions to the issues that really matter to the American public than Claude Pope's admission here that they got nuthin' but Obama hate going for them.
