I apologize for not having links to the following commercials that Grimes and McConnell are running, but I just got hit with two new ones. The first was a radio ad from Grimes. She's responded to one of the many McConnell attack ads; this was an attack that Grimes supported "amnesty" for illegal aliens (McConnell's term) and giving them tax payer assistance. Grimes used the same phrase in her response, and she claimed that she has never supported amnesty nor tax payer assistance to undocumented immigrants. Furthermore, she opposes Obama's unilateral actions on immigration and thinks Congress should deal with the matter.
Nothing like a bigoted appeal to the votes from both candidates. But it's OK. We don't have enough Latinos in KY to worry about pissing off.
Next up is McConnell's latest TV spot where he supports "common sense health care reforms" but wants to repeal Obamacare, which Grimes supports. He doesn't say what those supposed health care reforms are in his ad, but it is probably the same shit he has said before about buying health insurance across state lines or tort reform. He has some woman in a white doctor's coat in the ad also to support him, or so it looked like that way. Probably another stock photo or actress.
Never mind that he wants to take away the health insurance for 500,000 Kentuckians, including yours truly here. Oh, and I and everyone else in the state can't seem to get Grimes to mention the Medicaid expansion, so I'm not sure how she is supposed to support Obamacare when the only time she mentions Obama is to say how she disagrees with him.
Yes, I will vote for Grimes in November. There was never any doubt of that. McConnell is such an evil prick that he must be defeated. But I have found this Senate race keeps hitting some new lows. I'm sure there will be more to come.
