In an article published today the local paper described a fundamental problem with Rick Weiland's campaign. He's running on a "keep big money out of elections" campaign, yet receiving help from "big money".
News that a third super pac has joined in the fight to defeat Rounds/elect Weiland: EveryVoiceAction has pledged $750K to help elect Weiland. This along with the $1M ad buy by MaydayPAC puts Weiland in a difficult position. If he accepts their help, then the "no big money" pledge looks a typical politician's promise; all hot air. If he asks them to stay out then his chances diminish.
The third player is DSCC which isn't expressly supporting Weiland, they are running anti Rounds ads.
