Every so often David Brooks writes something so exceptional (even for him), that Charles P. Pierce is driven to comment. Fortunately, he has an inside source:
"...my long-silent correspondent, Moral Hazard, the Irish setter owned for photo op purposes by New York Times columnist David Brooks. I opened the letter. MH apologized for having been out of touch."
This latest installment is a keeper; not only does Pierce detail the ascension of Ross Douthat to probationary full membership in the Young Fogies Club and the surrounding festive participation by the other club members, but then he goes on to dissect Brook's latest atrocity of a column.
If you've ever shaken your head over the mind-boggling obtuseness of the pundits in the YFC, you'll appreciate this if only for the imagery Moral Hazard conjures up of these people with their hair (and other things) down.
