The poor has got the power of the vote. They may have beans and cornbread if lucky and a few clothes to throw on their backs. They may struggle with the light bill and water and Lord knows they are familiar with pawn shops. These are the lucky poor folks...The ones with a roof over their heads and they have no medical insurance in many states because they have fallen through the gap are a bit worse off.
The rich have their cocktail parties, their fundraising balls, their black tie events while
a single mother or mother and father are working penny anty jobs if lucky, and looking around in thrift shops for shoes. God forbid that an old car break down, or one of the kids gets sick. God forbid, their own jalopy on the way to work breaks down and they trun right on red at a traffic lifght and they get mailed a 200.00 ticket.
God help the sandwiched families trying to keep up with three or 4 generational families because one or both of the head of households is on social security and has a roof and a bathrub/shower. This is how it is. This is exactly how it is. We are the 99 percent of people who are no longer living from paycheck to paycheck but hand to mouth.
I, myself am sick and have been sick for about a month and after rounds of antibiotics and predisone, still coughing my head off. We live in Florida and allergies are great or the Gulf Oil has brought on all kinds of medical mysteries but regardless, sinus and bronchitis or other medical problems are prevelant here, We have little recourse down here but stay sick.
I am tired of hearing about ebola. You are more likely to hit the lottery than get ebola. I want to know what these other illnesses are and I am sick of the Right winged nut jobs.
There is one powerful truth. On election day, YOU are as rich as any billionaire at the voting booth. YOU have a vote.
I need a break. You need a break. All of we not so well off need a frigging break.
I got one powerful thing though. Will my power be enough? No...I need everyone to use their power. The vote. Get to the polls and vote. I want a better life. I want you to have a better life... I want my kids we are supporting to have a future. Hell I just want to breathe.
Silver and gold, I may not have, but I still have a vote.
Please vote. Don't let nothing short of death stop you.. Many Many lives depend on it.
Including mine.
