Greetings, one and all.
No idea what I want to write about this week. There is a lot of stuff rattling around in my cranium and not nearly all of it is thoughtful and intelligent.
There are robots in love-- yes, some of the theater nerds from my old home town have gotten together out in sunny California to try to make an independent Sci-Fi comedy film.
And if those pesky ex-underclassmen begging for funds isn't bad enough I've noticed that the calls to help Daily Kos' TiaRachel continue.
Two goals that I haven't done much to help reach.
And rather different goals. Goals? Does that sound like a theme?
I dunno, I suppose I'll just blither a bit below.
Yeah, I'm not making much money these days. It'd be nice to have some cash to toss at folks in need and all the crowd funded projects that wander through my inbox.
I do alright; I've certainly got more to be thankful for than complain about.
Thankfulness, Thanksgiving-- that sounds like a theme. I'll be posting after Thanksgiving next week. Ready to talk turkey?
Back to blithering I think.
I had a pretty good week. A friend invited me to accompany him to a little exhibition opening at the Dutch Embassy. A couple of large oil paintings, a video presentation of the creation process, a couple of speeches, a couple glasses of wine, a few tiny, tasty sandwiches. Here you can see the artist welcoming the crowd in the beautifully converted attic of the embassy.
On my way home I took a photo that I hoped would be the night version of a day picture that I'd taken some time ago. How close did I get?
Say, previewing this diary is the first chance I've had to see both pictures together like that. Pretty good for a stab in the dark-- although a bit blurred.
Been thinking a lot about Czech and American politics lately, but I think I'll leave that for when I'm not so rushed. Perhaps another diary from your fuzzy friend early next week?
Yeah, I'm out again this evening. Getting together with some old friends who live about a half hour's walk from here.
I anticipate bean salad for dinner.
