Grr. Argh.
And America's Worst Sheriff is
first out of the gate:
[Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio] sued Barack Obama on Thursday soon after the U.S. president imposed sweeping immigration reforms, saying the changes were unconstitutional. [...]
"(Obama's immigration) programs are unconstitutional abuses of the President's role in our nation's constitutional architecture and exceed the powers of the President within the U.S. Constitution," read Arpaio's complaint filed in a federal court in Washington.
Arpaio, who is very familiar with the insides of courtrooms, says that the reforms are "amnesty" because that is a word he knows. This is bad news for Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who wanted to be first to file suit because he wants to be president himself, and for Rep. John Boehner, who has been thinking about adding the word "amnesty" to his own lawsuit against the president, the one that used to be about the president not implementing Obamacare quickly enough for Republican tastes but has since morphed into the canned food drive of congressional lawsuits, with every member welcome to toss in their own complaints, conspiratorial theories, or cans of creamed corn.
