Don't forget the Animal Nuz on Saturday.
RSA links to this interview with the new guy, James Corden.
In an interview today, Corden told Deadline the backstory on how he hooked the Late Late Show gig just as his movie career is taking off, as well as what audiences can expect when he finally sits down behind the desk on opening night March 9.
One attribute that should help in his new job is his self-deprecating humor: “The whole thing is gonna be a f*cking disaster!”
“I think I’ll be better at acting than hosting a TV show — it’s going to be awful,” he said. “Every bit of this is a massive risk. It’s brave to take a guy you never heard of and give him an hour of TV.”
He appears on Letterman tonight.
I like him already.
The first sked guest is Irish actor, Cillian Murphy.
Since 2013, Murphy has played the lead role in the BBC television series Peaky Blinders, a series about a criminal gang in post-WW1 Birmingham.[73] He explained his enthusiasm for the show in an interview with The Independent: "[the scripts] were so compelling and confident, and the character was so rich and complex, layered and contradictory. I was like, 'I have to do this.'"[74] Peaky Blinders was critically praised and a ratings success. A second series began broadcasting on the BBC in October 2014. Also in 2013, Murphy made his directorial debut with a music video for the band Money's single Hold Me Forever. The video features dancers from the English National Ballet and was filmed at The Old Vic Theatre in London.[75]
In 2014, he co-starred in the film Aloft, with Jennifer Connelly,[76] and Wally Pfister's Transcendence, which also starred Johnny Depp and Rebecca Hall.[77] Murphy also reunited with Enda Walsh for the play Ballyturk in 2014.[78][79] He will star in Ron Howard's latest film, The Heart of the Sea, which will also feature Benjamin Walker and Chris Hemsworth.[80]
The second sked guest is actress,
Jennifer Carpenter.
In August, 2014, it was announced that she will provide the voice of Juli Kidman in the survival horror video game The Evil Within.[9] marking her first video game appearance. The game was released in October 2014.
RSA has a full listing thru to his last show on Dec. 19. Next week is probably pre-taped shows with a repeat on Thurs.
