Michael Brown was shot at ten times (hit six times) from over 100 feet away, according to eyewitnesses, he had his hands up at the time.
Akai Gurley was shot and succumbed to his wounds when he opened a door to access a stairwell and startled a police officer who didn't identify himself as police and then neglected to call an ambulance.
And just very recently a 12 year old boy with a fake gun, and the 911 caller made clear twice that it looked like a fake gun, was shot and eventually died.
It really feels like the police are upping the ante, like it just keeps getting worse, without end.
And the worst part is, I don't hear there being a loud enough outcry saying, 'ENOUGH!'
What greater crime do the police have to commit to finally wake up Caucasians to the reality of this oppression?
Or do I entertain the possibility that the conscience of a vast number of Caucasians doesn't extend to minorities?
And if that's true? Then what?
I hope nobody minds too much that I'm venting but this is just beyond insane. I think we need to bring about a new Civil Rights movement because racial oppression via mass incarceration and police brutality almost feels deliberate.
