Former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius continues her defense of the Affordable Care Act and discredits Gruber as a nobody that may have been in the same large room as her, but never met with her personally, nor was he ever involved in small working groups that would have set policy for said. She also went after U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for claiming that The Affordable Care Act was a misstep by Barack Obama's administration.
Sebelius: Although Gruber was hired as a consultant and met with staffers and advisers, he never sat down with her, she told USA TODAY's weekly video newsmaker series. "Maybe he was in a large room; he could have been on a phone call. But in terms of small meetings, discussing policy, that never happened."
