Jason Furman, the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, spoke to the White House Press Corps yesterday about
the state of the US economy
.
The Consumer Sentiment Index surged to its highest level since 2007 indicating that the public is beginning to feel an improvement in economic conditions.
Business and Professional Services grew at a faster pace with almost 20 million people in jobs that pay an average of $55,227. It was the fastest growing job category in
November with 86,000 of the 321,000 jobs added.
By November, 2014 was already the best year of job growth since 1999. All of the growth since the recovery began in 2010 has been in full-time positions.
Important Note
The labor market is not yet fully recovered—further reductions in long-term unemployment and faster wage growth are needed.
