GQ came out with an article called "the 20 Craziest Politicians Alive." http://www.gq.com/... 17 Republicans and 3 Democrats (and Joe Biden was number 20 just because he wants to run for president again but more on GQ's choices later). One of GQ's editors was on Morning Joe on MSNBC to talk about the article. And then Joe Scarborough chimed in . . .
Joe's immediate comment was "Who made this list? It's all Republicans. If I made a list it would be all Democrats." He was then asked, twice, to name a Democrat that he thought was crazier than the Republicans on the list. Both times he refused to do so.
I admit that I watch Morning Joe, because I am a political junkie, but I really hate Joe Scarborough. He always makes extreme off the cuff remarks that are totally untrue and rarely gets called on them by his milquetoast sidekick Micka. Of course, he could not name any truly crazy Democrats because the Republicans really have the market cornered on truly crazy politicians. Just look at GQ's list, Louis Gohmert was only number 17!
Now to GQ's list. The three Democrats are Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) an VP Joe Biden. Johnson made the list because of his "My fear is that the whole island (Guam) will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize" comment. Jackson Lee was named because she is apparently mean to her staff and, as mentioned Joe Biden made the list simply because he wants to run for president. The Republicans on this list: Ted Yoho, Joe Arpaio, Joe Barton, Glenn Grothman, Rand Paul, Michael Grimm Michael Burgess, Gordon Klingenschmitt, Jody Hice, Ted Cruz, Kelly Keisling, Mark Walker, Virginia Foxx, Joni Ernst, Louie Gohmert, Steve King, Paul LePage. Now that is a list of some crazy politicians. How crazy does your party have to be when Michele Bachman does not even make the top 20 crazy politicians?
