Black Live Matter/Eric Garner protestor Tawanda Jones whose chant "we won't stop, we can't stop, 'til killer cops, are in cell blocks" was deceptively edited by Fox45 in New York into "Kill a Cop" confronts the station and points out that 1) She Strongly Supports Cops, 2) Her ex, who is a Police Officer, sent her the Video of Fox distorting her chant via Facebook 3) her brother was brutally murdered in 2013 4) the Station has since apologized.
"The interesting part that really gets to me is, where you guys edited it and stopped — like, how could that be a mistake?" she said.
"Once you play that whole thing, you would know that's not something that's being said," she added.
"We have good cops, but we need more good Cops"... "At the end of the day, people's lives are on the line," she said. "Now, even though we're doing this, I still don't feel safe because I still feel like the message is out there."
"What if a crazed-out cop or a crazed-out supporter thinks I'm trying to get cops killed?" she later said, wiping tears from her face.
So really if you think about it, if there was any connection between the perpective of the protestors and the brutal assassination of two NYPD officers, if the shooter got the impression that what he was doing was in some way
endorsed by the protests, it's only because FOX NEWS LIED about what the protestors were actually saying.
At least this local Fox News affiliate had the decency to admit their "mistake" - although I'm don't exactly understand how you can make such a mistake that horrific and misguided - correct it, apologize for it and give Ms. Jones a chance to respond.
Fox News main network still hasn't done that, even though they've taken the edited video and viciously attacked Ms. Jones, all the protestors and Al Sharpton for it.
