I don't really have a whole lot to say tonight and am not up to continuing my summer camp series which is really pushing me to finish. Thus follow me down below for some random musings from my brain in effort to write away the Blues.

I spent part of my day today doing some accounting for my business after a very hectic holiday season in between playing anew hidden object game with which I have been obsessed. It was during one of the game sessions where I was hit with a quick pang of The Blues. Below are some of the things that may have sprouted a little melancholy.
The Islanders, who have been playing well this season, had an inexcusable loss last night. For a team that has gone 12-3 in games where the opponents score first, they are barely above .500 in games they have scored first. Last night was the third game in three times they lost after leading 3-0 in the first period. Granted they lost in a shootout, but it was against the Sabres who cannot even manage to score 2 goals a game on average. What the hell?!?
I will no longer be working as a tax accountant. This is due to not being "disabled" under the SSA rules should I go back to work. My disability is well documented and I have numerous IDs stating so, but because I can crunch numbers at a desk for 8hrs a day, I am not "disabled." Of course, if we had universal health insurance, I wouldn't have any problem returning to work as I wouldn't be at risk of being kicked off Medicare. Due to some other personnel changes at work, I was expecting to make significantly more money this year also. Well, at least I don't have to deal with the ever increasing corporate mentality pervading the business and clients who will be screaming about how it's my fault they are paying a penalty for not having health insurance even though I warned them for two years it was coming. Still, I did like my job there.
Jewish Christmas is being taken over by Christians. For as long as I can remember my family has been participating in Jewish Christmas. Namely Chinese Food and a movie. Why you might ask? Because movie theaters are usually the only things open on Christmas and we Jews love Chinese food which also happens to be available on Christmas. When I was a kid, we would go out to the theater which would be unusually quiet as there weren't many people there and have a nice dinner afterwards at a Chinese restaurant while the Christians would be at home doing whatever the hell it is Christians do on Christmas.
A few years ago more and more people starting hitting the theaters for some reason and thus the Studios got the bright idea to release movies on Christmas. A couple of years ago we failed to plan adequately (Who knew?) and had to suffer the consequences of eating first. Now our humble celebration is basically ruined. We now have to make reservations for dinner and buy our movie tickets the first day they become available. Whatever the Christians did to Christmas, they need to stop. Please give us non-Christians back our holiday.
These are just a few of the things that have gotten me upset lately. What about you all out in Internetland?
Coda: Formatted all of tonight's Nominated and flagged Top Comments on my tablet. Scheduled the diary as well. First time ever. Yay for me!!!
