Imagine every time a jumbo jet flew across the ocean, we threw it away. That would be expensive and it would guarantee only a tiny few people could ever afford to fly. Well, that's what we do with ground to orbit rockets. Beginning as early as this month, SpaceX hopes to end that
wasteful practice forever:
Should the company be able to make its precise landing, especially without any damage incurred in flight or in re-entry, SpaceX may change the spaceflight game forever. In fact, if the company is able to land and reuse its rockets, not only will SpaceX create millions of dollars in future revenue for itself by setting itself in a class above all other competitors, but it will also reduce launch costs of future space missions by tens of millions of dollars with the potential for freeing up funds for so many more missions after that.

- I was told there would be fusion-powered flying cars in 2015 (I stand corrected in comments):
That is the year the pair are blasted into in the 1989 sequel and, if the film is to be believed, there are plenty of gadgets and gizmos we will be using very shortly indeed. From flying cars to self-tying shoes, here’s what the film told us 2015 would look like…
