House Speaker John Boehner is quickly becoming a poster boy for American litigiousness. Boehner is once again
planning to sue President Obama, this time over immigration:
Boehner told his conference at a closed-door meeting Tuesday morning that he has a team exploring the best options to challenge last year's executive action, under which the Department of Homeland Security will begin granting legal working status to millions of immigrants, according to sources in the room.
"Our team has been working on litigation. We are finalizing a plan to authorize litigation on this issue—one we believe gives us the best chance of success," he said, according to a source in the room.
In November, after four months of threats, Boehner and House Republicans sued Obama for
delaying the employer mandate in Obamacare, which Republicans actually wanted Obama to do but sued him over anyway because it showed that they were willing to stand up to him however pointlessly, or something. At least this time they're planning to sue over something they sincerely oppose.
