This is just plain sad. It appears that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's sanity has been taken hostage by the House GOP's crazy caucus. That's the only explanation possible for the fact that McConnell has filed a motion to
take a fourth vote in the Senate on the House's anti-immigrant bill to fund Homeland Security.
Or maybe Boehner's profession of love yesterday really swayed McConnell.
Whatever the reason, this really has turned into a three-ring circus even more epic than progressives had imagined.
Perhaps Sen. John McCain said it best just before the second failed vote.
"Is that the definition of insanity, voting on the same bill over and over again?" Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., quipped to reporters ahead of Wednesday's vote.
