Syria - Save the Children http://www.savethechildren.org/...
I had another flashback today. I saw this add about Syria, I thought about the pictures
I intend to show about Vietnam. Vietnam is in the wind now and the children are middle aged or dead.
I know a Vietnamese man who works at the Seattle Veterans hospital. I have know him
13 years and he still stares at nothing. He promises me he will tell me what happened to his family and why he is in America alone. I will tell you his story about his family
when he want's to tell me what happened to them and how he came here alone.
This moment I beg you to look at the children of Syria. Thousands of men, women, and children have been killed. Picture you and your family being crammed into Jordon or
Turkey. You have not enough calories to thrive and you're crammed into a space like
prison. A friend tells me Turkey doesn't want them and soon will stop them from coming
into their country.
Syria once wanted Assad out of power. Now the fight is between monsters and innocent
children must die.
Please don't complain about anything in your life. At least you're not part of the genocide
happening as I write this. I think of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Africa. The despair of these people tells me part of our World are savages known hundreds of years ago.
What we can do is donate to Save the Children or Physicians without borders. I remember the smiles and hugs from Children in Vietnam. I remember laughter even
while the children were surrounded by blood and loss. All of us living in America can
learn about strength and real love from children in the midst of war. Having seen children in war, I promise you there is no difference with children anywhere.
Hug your loved ones. Our country is divided but nothing happening here comes close
to holding a little girl in a bloody dress.
Please make a donation to help our children. All children in the world belong to us all.
