It seems that the mainstream media is falling for Peter Schweizer's new foolish book, "Clinton Cash", attacking the Clinton family foundation and their deals with foreign countries. This guy, Schweizer, is a noted Jerome Corsi World Net Daily type of guy, someone who writes foolish books to rile up the craziest of conservative voters.
I know that some progressive members here distrust Secy. Clinton due to her previous Democratic Leadership Council ties, neoliberalism, and centrism in the past. However, she remains very popular among female voters, the Democratic base, and some independent voters. She has a storied history as Arkansas first lady, U.S. first lady, N.Y. Senator, 2008 presidential candidate, and U.S. secretary of state. She has a wealth of experience.
The question is, will the media fall for Schweizer and Rove and the other nutheads? And, if these "allegations" are in fact true, who other than Vice President Joe Biden, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, who can the Democrats turn to as a Plan B? Elizabeth Warren. Maybe. Andrew Cuomo? Kirsten Gillibrand? Bill de Blasio? Jay Nixon? Claire McCaskill? Tom Vilsack?
Will the average American voter fall for "Clinton Cash" as they did with the Swift Boat in 2004 and almost did in 2008 and 2012 with the "Obama is a Muslim crap"?
