"I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created"
- Donald Trump
Tuesday, on 'All In' with Chris Hayes June 16, 2015 I heard
Sam Seder say something worth repeating because he nailed it:
"This is the thing that Donald Trump is doing. He may be an embarrassment, but what he's actually doing is reflecting back on republicans exactly what their positions are" (@ minute 07:30 of the video below the fold)
Not only did Sam nail it, he identified exactly how much good Trump will do to expose the GOP for what it is. He's the real deal. The Con. A carnival barker without the least compunction at distorting the truth. None. He thrives on putting one over on the other guy. Like a Charlie Sheen type: "Winning"
In doing his thing, his lies, exaggerations, and seemingly fringe blazoning, shreds any façade away from what every republican hides behind and have spent years concealing:
Trump is not the fringe though.. As much as the GOP elite would have people believe otherwise, he is the GOP in everyway that matters minus those unctuous, fake smiles affixed to so many a republican politician face as they lie through their teeth. He's an unapologetic bloviating asshole. The republican base has been trained to love the hate and the corporate think tank wedge issues designed to distract from the corporate agenda; but with Trump the dog-whistles aren't beltway approved and the base recognizes the difference and goes nuts for it. I can just imagine the rwnj thinking ->'Finally, an asshole that doesn't mince words when hating on someone'. Trump is up in the polls so it's not just my imagination either.
The message is the same though. It's the GOP platform minus the weasel worded Krauthammer, Bill Kristol, George Will "nuance" - (lying)
Listening to the latest and past whining, both Bill Kristol and Krauthammer or a George Will fear the damage Trump will do to the republican brand and themselves as he's done in years past; cracking their veneer of legitimacy.
These GOP talking heads have been mouthing off against Trump lately, accusing Trump of xenophobia that they and the entire republican party are just as guilty of. Xenophobia that is at the core of the racist GOP when it comes to immigration - one of the most lucrative wedge issue panders most every republican or contender to office whips out when fleecing their constituents. Using the promise of preserving white privilege to mask a malfeasant corporatist agenda
On most every issue Trump espouses the GOP platform at it's core. Trump even exposes the true motivation for the GWB/Cheney cabal lying us into invading Iraq and the Middle East PNAC - Oil riches and all the MIC profits flowing from that | (PNAC). On Social Security though Trump is actually better. The Paul Ryan types would end Social Security, privatize it and end all social programs at the Federal level, moving them into state control before ending them altogether where profits couldn't be maximized.
Trump is perfect for the job. Not just for skewering Jeb (no last names please) Bush, but republican pundits just like Krauthammer and George Will. The puffed up elite beltway jackasses vs the rich wanna-be-tough-guy Trump. No love and very little difference between them. I'm also convinced by past behavior that Trump will probably lay into each GOP presidential hopeful that is on the rise. One after another. Exposing each one for crooks that they are
For president - lol - No; plus if the past is any indicator he'll never file the papers with the FEC unless I miss my guess, but even if he does, in the mean time, his brand of tv entertainment is perfect for the job of highlighting the fact that the GOP is also nothing more than entertainment/ propaganda wing of corporations. A corporate shell company with Fox "News" their ratings leader.
The whole GOP machine; talking heads and all with their supercilious Peggy Noonan faces, shown to be no better; the top tier conceit stripped away planting them right down at Trumps level only not as rich.
Here is Trump from 'The Last Word" with Lawrence O'Donnell Tuesday 16, 2015 laying down his idea of how to stop job out-sourcing to Mexico:
"I would call up the head of Ford; Who I know.. if I was President [of the US]. I'd say..'congratulations.. I understand you're building a nice $2.5 billion dollar car factory in Mexico, and that you're going to take your cars and sell them the the United States - ZERO TAX - just fly them across the border'.
And you say to yourself. 'how does that help us?' right? 'where is that good?' It's not.
So I'd say, 'congratulations, that's the good news. Let me give you the bad news. Every car and every truck and every part manufactured in this plant that comes across the border..we're gonna charge you a thirty percent tax.' "
Tough guy talk, and pure poop
That Trump has no idea the President does not have taxing authority is exactly the point. Trump's ignorance and willingness to spew ignorance IS the GOP. The perfect carnival barker. But Trump has taken aim at the beltway elite and the establishment GOP this time showing them and it, to be just as full of shit as he is. Trump has made this fact easier to spot and identify for the rwnj base.
Here is the actual Trump(ed) truth, about off-shoring jobs seeking dirt cheap wages that is at the heart of "corporate responsibility" to their investors where profit trumps the environment, paying a living wage, keeping manufacturing jobs in America and anything else that might diminish the bottom line - the only concern maximizing profit (aka profiteering)
This is a clip I extracted from a longer video of Trump on losing jobs to overseas corporations. After blustering on about out-sourcing jobs to China - "ripping our heart out" - Trump is busted with his foot in mouth on national tv.
The hypocrisy, a perfect GOP match-up. Only with Trump, the hypocrisy is clear as glass; cunning without the subtlety (never mind Romney's face. He's cut out of the clip):

- over the orange pretzel is a conversation with Sam Seder and Chris Hayes taking apart Donald Trump's announcement speech | June 16, 2015.
It is a fascinating dilemma for the GOP Presidential contenders and a potentially devastating position for the republican as a party. From what I'm hearing on Fox and other GOP mouthpieces, they want Trump to STFU but are unable to refute any position he has without refuting most every position that they hold but are unwilling to admit in stark undisguised language. Trump is undoing their bullshit spin and bashing/exposing them with it - imo
The Best of Donald Trumps Speech

I hope Trump does run, and really makes it official. In just a few weeks by being his awful self, he has shown the world what the republican is, despite their attempt to distance themselves from him. Bill Kristol's publication once accused of Trump, that..
"other candidates [were] being dragged down into the absurdity"
..NO. republicans have always been exactly as absurd, perhaps even more so, but definitely take a back seat to no one in the many bad laws they have enacted and the many good laws obstructed as demanded by the 1%ers they shill for.
wow, time snuck up on me tonight - time to turn in - be back tomorrow & thank you for stopping by
