After reading SantaFeMarie's dairy about threats made to Utah State University concerning Anita Sarkeesian's scheduled speech it got me thinking, is this the potential court case that redefines the relationship between the First and Second Amendments.
We now have a situation where one individual's 1st Amendment rights have been compromised by an open carry law formulated and passed to cater to and indulge a financially strong group (the NRA), their lobby and their small, as percentage of population, number of members. Is this the point where the courts will be required to hear and decide which of the amendments comprises the most inalienable of rights?
Let's think about this, start a long and meaningful conversation on rights and the backwards thinking of a good portion of the 2nd Amendment crowd and hope that the ACLU or similar group pick up the legal battle.
