Donald Trump is coming to Arizona on Saturday, July 11th for a campaign stop with fellow racist Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Arizona unfortunately being Arizona, there will undoubtedly be thousand of clowns inside cheering these two on.
There were so many people requesting tickets that the campaign event was moved from a downtown hotel to the convention center. Way to go Arizona. Show everyone nationally how many clowns are in our state.
Fortunately not everyone in Arizona is a raving bigot, and there will be a lot of us outside protesting. My hope is that there are more of us protesting outside than there are racists inside cheering on Trump.
Human rights group Puente Arizona is planning to protest outside the campaign stop. They released the following press release:

Phoenix, AZ– Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump will be met with protests outside of his Phoenix campaign stop, in which he plans to discuss immigration, accompanied by notorious Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. After making headlines for racist remarks against immigrants and Mexicans, Trump claims he is “the most popular person in Arizona right now.” Latino and immigrant community members plan to rally outside his speech, to show that Arizonans won’t allow hate speech and bigotry on their watch.
Francisca Porchas, with Puente, says, “We are here to send a message loud and clear to Donald Trump that he is not welcomed in Arizona and we will not allow his racism and bigotry to go unchecked. It’s a slap in the face to the Latino community for him to be here joined by Sheriff Joe Arpaio who has actively terrorized the Latino community and is the biggest symbol of anti-immigrant racism across the country.”

I hope that anyone around the Phoenix area can join in protest.
