The BBC is reporting that the Greek parliament has approved the proposal put forward by the government to the Eurozone.
Greece's parliament has backed a government package of economic reforms aimed at ending the country's debt crisis and securing a new bailout.
In a late-night debate, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras admitted many proposals fell short of his party's anti-austerity promises.
But he said there was a "national duty to keep our people alive and in the eurozone".
The Guardian reports that the votes were:
250 in favor
32 against
8 abstentions
The vote gives Prime Minister Tsipras the authority to negotiate with the Institutions on the basis of the €13 billion package sent to Brussels on Thursday.
Former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis did not vote as he has gone on vacation with his familiy. He has a holiday home on Aegina, one of the islands that will be affected by the withdrawal of the 30% discount on VAT (sales/services tax) that forms part of the proposal.
