Hogwash! I'll tell "the Hispanics" what to think.
The only person who might find these poll results shocking is Donald Trump, because in his parallel universe, "
The Hispanics love me!"
No, Donald, they don't, reports a Noticias Univisión poll of Hispanic voters—the first one of the 2016 cycle.
If the Republican primaries and caucuses were held today, Trump would receive just 7% of Hispanic Republicans’ votes, way less than Jeb Bush’s 38% , Marco Rubio’s 22% , and Ted Cruz’s 12%.
That's because 79 percent of Latinos reported being offended by his "rapists" and "drug dealers" charm offensive, and 71 percent have an unfavorable view of him. Looks like that carefully planned rhetoric is backfiring.
The polar opposite is the case for Hillary Clinton, who is doing particularly well among Latino voters.
If the presidential election were to take place at this moment, Clinton would obtain 64% of the Hispanic votes and her closest Republican rival, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, would receive 27% according to (the) bipartisan survey.
In a Democratic primary, 73 percent of Latinos said they would vote for Clinton. None of her Democratic rivals made double digits.
She also trounces Jeb! in key some key swing states, along with edging him out in Florida.
