The Rock of Cashel rises high above the Plain of Tipperary in Ireland and was the ancient seat of the kings of Munster (300 to 1100 CE). The Cathedral was built between 1230 and 1290. The pointed arches and the high, narrow windows are characteristic of the Gothic style of this time period. The Cathedral was in use until 1748.
