Hillary Clinton was quick to hit Jeb! after he managed to roll out yet another gaffe at the Southern Baptist Forum Tuesday,
saying, "I'm not sure we need half a billion dollars for women's health issues."
At a campaign stop in Denver, Clinton quickly took Jeb! to task, reports Jesse Byrnes.
"I would like to ask him, 'Gov. Bush, try telling that to the mom who caught her breast cancer early because she was able to get screening in time. Was her health not worth the money?' " Clinton said at a Denver event, according to CNN.
“He’s got no problem giving billions of dollars away to the super wealthy and powerful corporations ... But I guess women’s health isn’t a priority for him," Clinton added, Bloomberg reported.
Within hours of his misstep, Jeb! tried to walk back his comments,
saying: "With regards to women’s health funding broadly, I misspoke, as there are countless community health centers, rural clinics, and other women’s health organizations that need to be fully funded." It's okay Jeb!, we know what you really meant.
But what's interesting is the Twitter exchange between Hillary and Jeb! and how many retweets they both received. Clinton's has 5,411 and counting, not to mention 7,500-plus favorites. Jeb!'s response hasn't broken a thousand in either category. Hmmm ... wonder who struck a chord.
