Welcome to our city in the mountains, our home high in the Land Of The Sky, and host city of the 2015 September 26 DailyKos Regional Meet-Up.
We, of the DKos Ashville community welcome you all to our place of beauty, fun, magic, and excitement for a weekend of activities that will allow for everyone to return home with smiles, new friends, and many memories. Asheville NC is a wonderful place to live and to enjoy, and with many offerings to suit all tastes (including food and beer), this is a meet-up not to be missed for both the DailyKos events, and afterwards with your free time to explore and enjoy.
Early Fall is in my opinion a great time to visit Asheville: The weather is perfect, and the city is alive with activities: The nights are great for just walking around downtown and enjoying the sights and sounds.
Why do I write this diary that isn’t of any topic related to politics or social issues you ask? I pen this diary to introduce you all of those that are planning to attend, or maybe thinking about it as to what you can do here in our town. This is but a first of series as to what to do and see outside of the DailyKos regional meetings during that weekend. I hope you will in the future diaries read, and click on the links I provide for your informational pleasure, and then plan, and possibly dream of your time spent with us here in the city where the expression goes:

Need some car tunes while here in town? WNCW is one of the best public radio stations around this country - Tune in when here at 88.7 F.M.
Not to be missed if you are here during the weekdays (or want to livestream him at home) is our good friend, Jeff Messer of "The Jeff Messer Show". A solid liberal (and very good friend to the Daily KOs Asheville folks):

I leave you all with this food for thought quote from the indigenous Native American inhabitants of the mountains of this region, The Cherokee:
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice. - Cherokee
