Have the hinges of hell frozen over? Has the Plus-Sized Lady sung the finale? Have Porcine avians come home to roost? What in the heck is going on here?
Over at Salon this morning, I was treated to this stunner of Sunday news in a headline article by David Sirota.
“Where I believe we need to start in reforming welfare is eliminating welfare for the wealthy,” said Koch, who, along with his brother David, is among the biggest financiers of conservative political causes. “This means stopping the subsidies, mandates and preferences for business that enrich the haves at the expense of the have nots.”
Could it possibly be that the Koch Brothers Inc, are starting to Feel the Bern? I find that almost unbelievable, but they apparently read polls too, and can see their potential New Chosen Party, the potential future recipient of MILLIONS in campaign cash, now in doubt as to their fidelity to The Standard Message: "Greed is Good."
So, true to form, change the message. This is just business, people. Just doing friendly business. Cash is at stake here, so, best to leave off asking for 166 million in tax breaks when you have several billion, cut your exposure to the starving mobs, and you STILL dont have to finance a Bernie Sanders campaign, you can just "adjust."
Çall me cynical, but I have given up listening to sweet Progressive Words when Money is at stake. I call this a ploy, until proven otherwise with actual... CASH. And by the way, you wont get anything for your cash except the knowledge that you have done the right thing for starving single moms, unemployed black, brown and white youth, and ancient grandmoms on disability, Mr. Koch. Actions speak, words, not so far.
