But here is another piece about County Clerk Casey Davis and how he claims that it is his job to tell Gays that they’re going to hell!
More below the fold.
From Right Wing Watch.
The Casey County clerk also told West Virginia radio host Tom Roten on Monday that he believes that, as a Christian, he should be exempt from performing such job duties because his religion requires him to not only oppose same-sex marriage but also to tell gay people that they are going to Hell unless they repent and get washed in “the blood of Jesus Christ.”

How about a reminder of your Oath of Office since you have apparently forgotten?
County Clerk Oath:
Surely you remember that you are a County Clerk right? That means you are a Public official and as such you can’t ram your religious opinions down people’s throats and enforce your religious beliefs on the populace!
You see, that is a violation of the Separation of Church and State and in case you need a reminder: America is not a Theocracy!
So kindly save your religious sermons for your church and your private life where they belong.
Let’s hear what Casey Davis has to say.
Davis continued to claim that he is the victim of religious persecution: “I think that this is a war on Christianity, I think same-sex marriage just simply brought it to the surface, but it is a war on Christianity.”
Seriously why is it that these people always try to make themselves the victim when they are the ones who want to force everyone else to live by their religious beliefs and turn America into a full-blown Theocracy/Religious Dictatorship?
By the way Casey. Do you ask opposite sex couples if they have been divorced before you issue the license? Or how about if they have unconventional sex? Isn't that supposed to be against god's law too? Or are you just a hypocrite like all the rest?!?
